At First Church we believe in being connected to each other because that’s an important part of how God created His church. He uses word pictures to describe His church as a family, a body made up of various parts, an army, a building of stones or bricks. In each of these descriptions we see the inter-connectedness of each individual part that together makes up the whole. We offer many ways to connect with others, in gatherings large and small.

  • Classes – classes are held Wednesdays at 6:30pm

  • Life Groups – small groups that gather in homes each week

  • Teams – get involved by serving one another

We know LIFE happens all week long, not just on Sunday! We encourage you to join a Class, Life Group or Team.

OUR VALUES

2 Peter 3:18 states “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…” God’s mandate is that we pursue maturity and Christ-likeness. We seek to equip and challenge others to first of all receive Christ as Savior, and then to become all that God wants them to be.

God tells us that others will recognize we are His children by the way we express love. God so loved the world that He sent His only Son. We are most like the Lord when we love others with an unconditional love.

Ephesians 4:3 states “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” It is through our unity that we will become the force that God wants to affect change in our community. Unity does not mean we never disagree; it means we process through those disagreements to formulate a strong vision and mission for the Kingdom of God.

Everyone needs encouragement. Life is tough. It is full of twists and turns and it can throw us some real curve balls. We choose to encourage one another so that we can face everything life throws at us.

After Jesus had served his disciples in the upper room, he told them to go and do the same. Serving is something that flows from our faith. If we say we love the Lord and believe in His mission, then serving others must become a priority.
